Voki
is a free service that allows users to create customized, speaking avatars that
can be embedded in any website, blog, profile, or even PowerPoint presentation! It was created with teachers and students in
mind, so it is very geared toward educational purposes. More than 2 million people currently use it,
and it has the potential to be a great interactive learning tool due to its
engaging nature. The Voki website also
lets users connect with other educators to share ideas about effective ways to
use the educational tool. The basic
service is free and has many wonderful features. Voki Classroom is also available as an
upgrade and it makes using Voki even more useful in a classroom environment

have a computer or internet access, this tool will not be useful
